The Simpson high wind tie or 'hurricane' tie is designed to give extra support for trusses & rafters that are likely to be exposed to high wind. They are a versatile tie that can be used for a variety of applications when one member crosses over another at 90 degrees, such as to strengthen purlins. The H2.5A can be installed in pairs to gain twice the safe working loads.
